N64 Usb Controller Driver
I recently setup a Pi 3 with RetroPie and everything is working great. Except the Mayflash USB adapter (dmesg refers to it as HuiJia USB GamePad) I bo. Register; Login; Search. Mayflash/HuiJia N64 adapter third party controller support. I'm not opposed to fiddling with some drivers and recompiling the kernel if need be.

N64 controller with mayflash adaptor help!
Hey guys, I received a raspberry pie with retropie in a 3d printed case from my roommate for Christmas this past year. I've loved it so far, and have been using it to play NES games since I got it. There are a few N64 games that he has pre-loaded onto it, and I've had a mean craving to play ocarina lately. So, I bought a mayflash adaptor for an N64 controller controller. I thought it would be as easy as plug the controller in and map the buttons. Obviously I was wrong. Controller works fine to select a game, but in ROM only the analog stick, and the z button work (for some reason the z button works as the start button when I've set it to left trigger). I've seen mixed things on whether this set up even works for retropie. So, I'm wondering should I just ditch this idea and get a usb controller, or is there a fix? I would obviously prefer not to ditch it considering the quality of usb n64 controllers out there. As you can tell I'm pretty new to this whole thing and have no experience programming, but I am not opposed to using this as an excuse to learn something.
